Category:
£535.00
Combat condition WWII German Afrika full length Cuff Band (title), the band is totally original Third Reich era example, it was removed from a Germans tunic during the Africa campaign by a British soldier and kept as a souvenir. The Mid brown camel hair Cuff band bears the words AFRIKA flanked on both sides by a palm tree (one parm tree is blood stained). The Edged top and bottom with the correct 3mm silver grey strip, all embroidery is in silver grey cotton. A very honest example of an Original WWII Afrika Cuff Title in combat condition, to reverse of cuff title a section has been reattached to its length due to it being removed from the tunic in haste.
The Afrika cuff title was a second World War II German military decoration awarded to members of the Wehrmacht who took part in the North African Campaign of 1941-43. On 15 January 1943, the Africa cuff title was instituted by Adolf Hitler as a formal campaign decoration. The design was the same for all three-armed services, although both the Luftwaffe and Kriegmarine later introduced their own designs. The photos of the general wearing a similar cuff band beside Field -Marshall Erwin Rommel does not come with the sale of the cuff band and is for reference to the item only.
